Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Montreal, Claude Remise was a professor in the Department of Oral Health at his alma mater. He has held the positions of head of the orthodontic section and coordinator of the graduate program in orthodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry.
Throughout his career, he has ensured the quality of the training that students receive by introducing numerous pedagogical innovations to facilitate learning. In addition, he worked to create the Paul-Geoffrion Fund to support research and the advancement of orthodontic education.
Claude also spearheaded the project to redesign the orthodontic certificate curriculum into what is now the Master of Dentistry program, Orthodontics option.
His accomplishments and notable contributions to the advancement of the field of orthodontics have earned him recognition from his peers. Most notably, in 2014, he was awarded the inaugural Recognition of Achievement in Orthodontics Award by the Canadian Association of Orthodontists.
